How do I book you? +

Please fill out the form on my contact page and I will send you a questionnaire about your website design project. At this point, we may jump on a call via telephone or Skype to go over any questions we both may have. I will then draft a proposal and contract and send it to you. If accepted, you’ll sign the contract and return to me with a 30% deposit to book you into my schedule. Another 35% will be due the day before we start work and then the final 35% is due before I transfer the website to you..

How much is Squarespace? +

This depends on the kind of website you need. Squarespace lists their pricing on their website and I encourage you to take a look. We can discuss the different levels and which may be most beneficial to your business. Remember that as a client of mine, you will receive 20% off your first year of Squarespace. This cost, as well as your domain name registration cost, is separate from my website design fee.

Speaking of Domain, what's that? +

Your domain name is your websites URL. If you haven’t purchased one, I can help you. You can also purchase your domain through Squarespace - it’s nice to have everything in one place! If you have purchased a domain name already, I can connect the DNS information to your website or have your domain name registration switched over to Squarespace (preferred).

What do you need from me to start? +

Most of what I need is included in the questionnaire I will send you. It’s a good idea, though, to start thinking about these things, which include: what pages you need, inspiration, logos, fonts, colors. I will also need you to start drafting the copy for your pages and I recommend doing this in Google Docs so you can easily share it with me.

What payment do you accept & what is the process? +

My preferred payment method is through Venmo. If that is a problem for you, we can discuss alternatives. I require a 30% deposit to book you into my schedule. I require 35% the day before I begin to work on your website and the final 35% will be due before I transfer the website to you. You will receive updates and have the ability to see the work in progress at various stages through a password protected link I will send you. Terms will be included in the contract.

How long does it take for you to design my website? +

This depends on my current workload, which I will discuss with you on our call. However, I usually book a month out and limit the number of clients I work with at one time. This may seem like a long time, but remember, I work with one client at a time so you are getting my complete attention. You can use this time to gather all the collateral needed to start your project. Once I start working, depending on the complexity of your website, I can have it designed anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks.

What can I expect at the handoff? +

At the end of the project, after approval and when the site goes live, I will supply you with a guide to maintaining your website, as well as some resources. Remember that Squarespace has 24/7 technical support and their knowledge base is a wealth of information. For quick questions, please don’t hesitate to email me - I try to respond quickly!
